CHAD THOMPSON - VISUAL SPECIALIST

Chad Thompson is a native of Murray, Kentucky where he began a career of musical education and performance. After participating in the Murray High School Tiger Band, he went on to perform with the Murray State Racer Band, where he also taught visuals for two years as an undergrad student teacher. 

Outside of school, he marched with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2011 to 2015. After aging out, he spent a season performing with Rhythm X Winds in 2016.

His teaching experience ranges from being the Visual Caption Head at Calloway County High School Laker Band for 6 years, as well as being a visual instructor at Legends Drum and Bugle Corps for 2 seasons and The Cavaliers for The 2018 season. 

In 2017, Chad co-founded an Independant Open Class winds program Agency Indoor from Murray, Kentucky where he was co-director for the inaugural season. 

He is excited to assist in another inaugural season, this time for Obsidian Winds as a newfound local to the Nashville area.
