Cayce Long - Ensemble Director

Cayce Long, is a Nashville native who brings over 15 years of teaching experience in the marching arts to his role as Ensemble Director and Visual Captionhead of the Obsidian Winds organization. His passion for teaching, consulting, and designing for award-winning ensembles across middle Tennessee, including at Goodpasture Christian School and Station Camp High School, has earned him recognition for his visual expertise. Under his direction, numerous ensembles have achieved top honors in visual performance.

Cayce’s background includes an internship with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, one of the premier organizations in the pageantry world, which helped to shape his approach to teaching. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in film and photography, which informs his creative approach to visual storytelling in ensemble performances.

In addition to his roles at Obsidian Winds, Cayce works full-time as a Senior Communications Specialist for Seacrest Studios at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. His experience in both the communications field and the marching arts makes him a dynamic leader in the pageantry community.
